120×0.6=72
he has $72
120-72=48
he needs $48 more

To find 60% of 120, change 60% to 0.6 and multiply 0.6*120.

120(0.6)=72

Ashton has saved $72 so far.

120-72=how much money Ashton needs to buy the scooter.

120-72=48

Ashton needs $48 more to buy the scooter.
