Gilbert has 50 drywall screws. He is purchasing more screws. He can purchase up to 6 boxes of screws. Each box of screws contains 200 screws. He can't purchase partial boxes. The function that models the number screws Gilbert has is f(b)=200b+50 f ( b ) = 200 b + 50 , where b is the number of boxes he purchases. What is the practical domain of the function?

Answer:
\left \{ {b\epsilon \mathbb{N}: b\leq 6} \right \}

Explanation:

Given: Gilbert has 50 drywall screws. He is purchasing more screws. He can purchase up to 6 boxes of screws.

Each box of screws contains 200 screws.

The function that models the number screws which Gilbert has is

f(b)=200b+50f(b), where b is the number of boxes he purchases.

As, he can't purchase partial boxes., therefore b should be a natural number which is less than equal to 6.

Thus, the domain of the function =
\left \{ {b\epsilon \mathbb{N}: b\leq 6} \right \}
