Answer:

Africa has very little land that is well suited for agriculture. Much of the continent has either an arid or semiarid climate or a tropical climate. Although the tropical climate gets ample rain, the soils are often eroded, and little of the land is cleared for agriculture. Only the coastal regions of North Africa and parts of the southern coast of South Africa have a Mediterranean climate or marine west coast climates, which support crop cultivation. Therefore, Africa struggles to produce enough food to feed its population. Hope this helps :)
