Between the years 1870 and 1900, Africa had to oppose aggression, diplomatic pressures, military invasions, and the eventual colonization from European countries such as Portugal, Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Belgium, who competed for power as well as supremacy in Africa.
