Find the slope of the line that passes through the points (1,-4) and (4,2)

4-1 = 3
2--4= 2+4=6
so the slope is 3/6 which simplifies to 1/2

If you draw a graph you can find out by starting at a given point and putting in the slope. If the slope goes through both points then you’re good. In this case the answer is: 1/2
