Answer

  1. Taking photographs
  2. X-Ray examination
  3. Incising the body
  4. Removal of abdominal contents
  5. Examination
  6. Lab investigations
  7. Placing back the contents
  8. Sealing

Step-by-step explanation

  • Taking photographs

Before performing the procedure, the experts need to take the photographs of each and every inch of the body.

  • X-Ray examination

The corpse is carefully examined by X-Ray

  • Incising the body

A Y shaped incision is given from shoulder to groin region (thus exposing the internal contents of the body)

  • Removal of abdominal contents

The abdominal contents are removed (one by one or in some cases as a whole)

  • Examination

After removing, the contents are weighed and examined.

  • Lab investigations

Fluid specimens are obtained for laboratory examinations.

  • Placing back the contents

After the procedure is done, the contents are put back in the body in the same location.

  • Sealing

The body is then closed /sealed by suturing.
