Note that point-slope equation is: (y - y₁) = m(x - x₁)

Also note that f(x) = y

Isolate the y. Subtract 7 from both sides:

y + 7 = –(x + 6)

y + 7 (-7) = -(x + 6) - 7

y = -(x + 6) - 7

Note that the equation is really: y = -1(x + 6) - 7

Distribute -1 to all terms within the parenthesis

y = -1(x + 6) - 7

y = -x - 6 - 7

Simplify. Combine like terms

y = -x - 13 ; or f(x) = -x - 13, which is none of the above.

Please check and verify your choices.

hope this helps
