Find common denominators. Multiply 5 to numerator and denominator of 1/3, and 3 to the numerator and denominator of 1/5

(1/3)(5/5) = 5/15

(1/5)(3/3) = 3/15

Add

5/15 + 3/15 = 8/15

Ruby and Angie ate 8/15 of the pizza.
