A is when there is a number next to a variable, x is the variable. The coefficient is only the number not the variable included. 3y - 5. 3 is the coefficient.

B is the exponent. An example is 2^3. 3 is the power. You multiply the first number the amount of times the 2nd number shows. 2 x 2 x 2=8

C is the answer to a multiplication problem. 2 x 4 = 8. 8 is the product.

D is the answer to a division problem. 8/4=2. 2 is the quotient.
