1.6m is the same as 160cm, since 1m = 100cm
He used to be height x, and has now grown to 160cm. The amount he grew is 10cm, so that means he added 10cm to his previous height.
x + 10cm = 160cm
x = 106cm - 10cm
x = 150cm
He used to be 150cm tall.
