There are 16 shirts.

12 of them are green, while 4 of them are yellow.

What percentage of them are green, and what percentage of them are yellow?

Here 16 is evenly divisable by 12 and 4, so you would find the fractions that 12 and 4 are of 16. That would be 12/16, or 3/4 and 4/16, or 1/4. Then you would convert those fractions to decimals and percents. 3/4 is 0.75, which is 75% and 1/4 is 0.25, which is 25%. I hope this helps! Just ask if you need me to explain it more.

Alright, we can start by dividing 16 into chunks, and since 12 is a multiple of 4, we're just gonna divide by four

16/4=4

So there are four fours in sixteen, cool. Now 100 divided what would equal 4?

100/4=25

Ok. So each four is 25 percent. There are three fours in twelve so

3*25=75

Green=75%

and four only has one four in it so

1*25=25

Yellow=25%
