Find the inverse of the function f(x) = 2x – 4.

First make x the subject of the relation:-

f(x) = 2x - 4

2x = f(x) + 4

x = (f(x) + 4) / 2

Now replace x by the inverse f-1(x) and f(x) by x :-

f-1(x) = (x + 4) / 2

the first answer is D g(x) = 1/2 x + 2

the second answer is "is one to one"
