Given a certain angle
x, its complement is
90-x and its supplement is
180-x.

So, if the supplement of an angle is 10 more than twice the complement, you have

180-x = 2(90-x)+10

expand the right hand side:

180-x = 180-2x+10

We can simplify the 180 appearing on both sides:

-x = -2x+10

Add 2x to both sides

x = 10
