Volume of a triangular prism = area times length. The area of a triangle follows the equation
(1)/(2) base*height. We substitute in the values of base=12cm, length=40cm into the equation to get
(1)/(2)(12)*(40)=240cm^2. We know that the volume = area times length. Substitute the values of Area = 240 and Length = 40 into the equation to get
240*40=9600. Therefore the volume of the triangular prism =
9600cm^3.
