At a local print shop, 20 copies can be made for $8. At this rate, how much would it cost to make 85 copies?

Fill out the table of equivalent ratios until you have found the value of x.

First, divide $8 with 20

8/20 = 0.4

Each copy costs 40 cents.

Multiply the cost for each copy with the amount of copies to be made

0.40 x 85 = 34

$34 is the cost to make 85 copies

hope this helps
