area between the regions = 99π inches²

Concentric circles have the same centre. Calculate the area of both circles and subtract the smaller from the larger.

area ( A) = πr²

r = 10 (larger circle ) → A = π ×10² = 100π

r = 1 (smaller circle ) = π × 1² = π

area of region between the 2 circles = 100π - π = 99π
