Web Dubois and Booker were intelligent African American individuals who addressed disparities between the way of living of the whites and blacks in writings in the U.S around 19th to 20th centuries. They both advocated for equality through nonviolent protest, logical argument applications and reasoning.
The difference in their goals was on how the equality should be achieved and what the African American society should expect to attain when getting the equality. DuBoi believed that equality was to be achieved through political change and civil rights agenda. On the other hand,Booker T.Washington argued that self-help, racial solidarity and accommodation was the way to be accepted as fully citizens. He explained that through craft education, industrial skills, enterprise and virtue of patience, the African American would win respect of whites.
