Caleb Payment = $ 1.60

Rate = 2.5%

Lets say the price of groceries were $ X before tax.

If Caleb paid 2.5 of sale tax , That means he must have paid 2.5 % of X

So According to the question

2.5 % of X = 1.6

0.025 x = 1.6

x= 1.6/0.025

x= $ 64
