(-3,0) and (5, -2)

slope = (0 + 2) /(-3 - 5) = -2/8

y - 0 = -2/8 (x + 3)

y = -2/8 x - 6/8

8y = -2x - 6

2x + 8y = - 6

Answer is

D. 2x + 8y = -6

From the graph the at x-intercept

(-3, \: 0)

(0, ( - 3)/(4) )

Using the intercepts ,the equation is given by,

(x)/(a) + (y)/(b) = 1

where

a = - 3
and

b = ( - 3)/(4)
This implies that

(x)/( - 3) + (y)/( ( - 3)/(4) ) = 1

This implies that

x + 4y = - 3
Multiplying through by 2 gives

2x + 8y = - 6
The correct answer is D
