Teenagers have a self conscious mind set when they reach a certain age. if even one person tells them a part of them is bad, they are instantly in a state of panic. The idea of an ad telling them how to get rid of acne is making them feel like it's something to be ashamed of, when it's really not. It's natural. It's a great strategy, though. Looking to an audience who easily succumb to it. But it doesn't help them feel better about their bodies or who they are. It's a win-lose situation, in my opinion. By gaining money, you are helping teenagers, and even some adults, feel like they have the wrong body and need to be different in order to be beautiful.
