John forgot to pay his phone bill for 2 months! He was travelling with his Frisbee golf travel team and it just slipped his mind. His monthly phone bill is $89.95 per month. When he went to pay his phone bill, he remembered that he had been given a credit of $95 for an issue he had a few months back with some bad customer service. But he also recalled that he had received $12.75 in extra charges for data usage.
Where does John stand with the phone company right now?

first we do $89.95 times 2, this results in $179.90

then suddenly, John remembered that they gave him a $95 gift card, so we subtract $179.90 from $95 to get $84.90

then for some unknown reason he remembers that he received $12.75 from the company as well, which then brings us down to $72.15

Well If john has to pay

89.95 a month so 179.9$

He was given 95$ from the company so 179.9 - 95= 84.9

and he owes 12.75 for late fees so 84.9 + 12.75

He owes a grand total of 97.4$ to the phone company
