I would think Trawling would be the answer. Trawling is when you basically mop a large section of the sea floor with a large net to catch crabs and other bottom-dwelling sea life. This also means the net can pick up rocks, shift sand, and destroy reefs.

Trawling is a fishing technique in which a cone shaped fishing net (trawl) are pulled through the water (at the middle or bottom) behind one or more boats (called trawlers). Trawling lacks selectivity and it severely destroys the fish habitat. This method indiscriminately captures every marine organism and objects it comes in contact with in water. With trawling many endangered or unwanted fishes are mistakenly captured and killed. Also, the weight of a trawl (bottom) can damage the sea floor habitats hence, destroying the marine ecosystem
