B. Ignatius of Loyola
Ignatius began his life as a knight for the Spanish army but was hurt and taken to a Christian monastery to heal. While at the monastery, Ignatius became repentant for his actions in his early life and committed his life to the Church.
Through his devotion and dedication to living a pious life Ignatius would eventually become ordained as a priest and officially devote his life to the Catholic Church. Through Ignatius' leadership the Society of Jesus was formed. Jesuits belonging to the order acted as missionaries. The Jesuits most impactful role was in the New World to convert Native Americans to Catholicism.
