Could someone please explain! I cant figure it out.

2^−2⋅(12⋅3)−5^3
^ means that theres a power after that symbol

2^-2 = 1/2^2

so: (1/2^2)*(12*3)-5^3

simplify: (1/4)*36-125

36*(1/4) = 36/4 so: 9-125

subtract: -116
