y= -5

Multiply both sides by 3

you get (2y−27=6y+9)

Subtract 2y from both sides

Simplify 6y+9−2y to 4y+9

Subtract 9 from both sides

Simplify −27−9 to −36

Divide both sides by 4

Simplify 36/4 to 9

Then switch the sides to get,

y= -9
