Answer:

There are 14 red marbles in the jar

Explanation:

Be

A = red marbles in the jar

B = blue marbles in the jar

A =?

B = 35

T = A + B

Being the ratio of 2 to 5, we apply a rule of three,

2 ------------------------- 5

A ------------------------ 35

A=(2*35)/(5) =(70)/(5)  \\A = 14

There are 14 red marbles in the jar

T = A + B = 35 + 14 = 49

There are 49 marbles in the jar, of which 14 are red and 35 are blue.

Otherwise, it would be to multiply B by the ratio 2/5 (2 of 5).

Being B = 35,

A=(35)/(2/5) =(35)/(0.4)  \\A = 14

Hope this helps!
