Charles I showed his intention of ignoring the 1628 Petition of Right by dissolving Parliament.

He made clear his intention of not dealing with Parliament and did´t call another one for the next eleven years. He wanted to show how that the royal prerogative allowed him to raise money without the Parliament and that he was able to govern.
