Hello there!

Speed = distance / time

To do this, convert:

miles --> feet

hour --> seconds

After you get your answers, plug them into the equation above, and you'll get your answer!

( I get that a previous user already answered, but I just wanted to throw in my two cents). :)

Hope this helped!

To solve this problem, you need to set up a proportion. If she jogs 6 miles per hour, then this can be written as
(6(miles))/(1(hr)). If there are 5280 feet in a single mile, then first we multiply the two proportions like this:

(6(miles))/(1(hr)) * (5280(ft))/(1(mile))

The two 'mile' values cancel each other out, so then just multiply
(6*5280(feet))/(1(hour)). This equals to 31680 feet per hour. Now let's convert to seconds.

(360(seconds))/(1(hour)), or 360 seconds every hour. Since hours are much longer than seconds, multiply 31680 by the reciprocal of 360, so that it makes sense.

31680 * (1)/(360)

She runs 88 feet per second.
