y- intercept = - 9, x- intercept = 12

To find the intercepts, that is where the graph of the equation crosses the x and y axes

• let x = 0, inthe equation for y- intercept

• let y = 0, in the equation for x- intercept

x= 0 → 4y = - 36 ⇒ y = - 9 ⇒ (0, - 9 ) → y- intercept

y = 0 → - 3x = - 36 ⇒ x = 12 ⇒ (12, 0 ) → x- intercept
