Use the conditional statement to answer the question.

If an angle measures 43°, then the angle is acute.

Are the statement and its inverse true?

Both the statement and its inverse are false.

The statement is true, but the inverse is false.

Answer:

Both the statement and its inverse are true.

Explanation:

To understand this we need to know that an acute angle have to measure less than 90° to be called as such. The opposite is an obtuse angle that have to measure more than 90° to be called as such.

In this statement 43° is in deed acute, since that 43° < 90°ç

Its opposite statement is also true, because the opposite angle is 317° which is more than 90°, so the opposite angles is obtuse by definition.
