8 + 3² - (4 • 5 ÷ 2)
She got an answer of 7. Show the steps and explain how she got this answer.

8 + 3^2 - (4 . 5 / 2) Use order of operations ( PEMDAS):-

Parentheses first

= 8 + 3^2 - (20/2)

= 8 + 3^2 - 10

Now the exponent:-

= 8 + 9 - 10

Now work it out ;eft to right

= 17 - 10

= 7
