My response: In the excerpt of Elizabeth Cady Stanton's autobiography you learn about her fathers disappointment about her fathers wanting sons and not daughters. Her brother "went home to die." After that she vowed to learn to be brave. She then got to tutoring from her pastor. she wins a prize in greek.
