w =6G-40

Explanation:

Given that G= 1/6(w+ 40)

Now we have to solve for w.

i.e. Now G is in left side and a funciton of w is on right side.

To get formula for w, we have to bring w to left side and all other terms including G on the right side.

G= 1/6(w+ 40)

First multiply the above equation both sides by 6

6G = w+40

Now interchange left and right side

w+40 = 6G

Subtract 40 from both the sides

w =6G-40 is the formula for red variable w.
