Subtract 2.1 from both sides:

4.2x-1.4y-2.1=0

Add 1.4y to both sides:

4.2x-2.1=1.4y

Of course, we can rewrite this as

1.4y=4.2x-2.1

Divide both sides by 1.4

y = (4.2)/(1.4)x - (2.1)/(1.4) = 3x - 1.5
