Given that the confetti is going to be dropped from 25 feet up and land on a person who is about 6 feet tall, use the correct formula (solved for t) from the chart above to find out how long the actor should hold her position before moving on. (Hint: First calculate how far the confetti must drop.)

I believe the question is saying - Confetti is dropped at x height and a person stands at y high, whats the difference between x and y. If the confetti falls at z speed, how long does the person have to wait until the confetti has fallen, to unsure he does not get hit.

Not entirly sure and can't work it out 100% as i would need all tables, charts and questions.

Answer:

1.08 seconds

Explanation:

Height of confetti from the ground = 25 ft

Height of person = 6 ft

So, the distance which the confetti would fall is 25-6 = 19 ft

d = 19 ft

Using the 5th equation

t=(√(d))/(4)\\\Rightarrow t= (√(19))/(4)\\\Rightarrow t=1.08\ seconds

So, the actor should stand for 1.08 seconds
