This is equal to
`(1,700,000)/(10)`.

Now, when you divide a number by 10, the original number becomes one place value less. For instance, 2 ÷ 10 = 0.2.

We can see that 1,700,000 has 5 zeroes, so if you divide it by 10, the this means Florida is 170,000 sq km.
