1. Divide cost by the pounds so you get the cost of one pound:

1.25 / 2.5= .5

1 pounds of bell peppers costs .50$

2. The beef cost most per pound: 9.56 / 4=2.39

3. He would have paid 11.05 for 8.5 pounds because when you divide 15.30 by 8.5 to get cost per pound and subtract .5 to get .50$ less per pound, then multiply by 8.5 to get the cost for 8.5 pounds, you get 11.05$
