Hello there!
I can help you get started with #5! :)
y = 3x + 9
aka y = mx + b
Look familiar? :)
So, let's break it down!
9 = your "y" (b)
3x = your slope (also known as m)
-------------------
1). Graph b first!
So b will be graphed on the y axis! (Up and down).
Graph a point at (0,9). ( 9 straight up ).
2). Let's break down the slope!
3x is the slope.
3 is also 3/1.
So what does this mean?
Well:
m = (y2-y1) / (x2-X1)
What does this have to do with graphing? It means that your slope is y/x!
So 3x --> 3/1 --> 3 up and 1 to the right! (Positive direction).
- so simply go to the point you graphed before (0,9).
-go 3 up and 1 to the right!
-keep doing this for 2-3 more points. Anything is fine. :)
-connect the dots!
And that's all there is to it! :)
Just remember:
1). Out everything is slope-intercept form
(y = mx + b ).
2). Graph b first, then your slope.
3).
Up & right = positive
down & left = negative

Hope this helped! :)
P.S. If you need extra help with this, I highly recommend searching this up and watching a Khan Academy video! :)
