How do you find quotients for negative whole numbers divided by negative fractions? What about positive numbers divided by negative mixed fractions?

Here is you're answer:

I'm not sure if you want me to solve the questions or tell you how to solve them so I'll do both:

1. In order to solve this question you have to use KCF (Keep, Change, Flip) and for the whole number add a 1 as the denominator.

  • -1 / (-7)/(2)
  • Add the denominator for negative one:

  • -1 = (-1)/(1)

  • (-1)/(1) / (-7)/(2)
  • Now apply KCF:

  • (-1)/(1) * (-2)/(7)
  • Solve:

  • (-1)/(1) * (-2)/(7) = (2)/(7)
  • Remember that a negative times a negative is a positive.

  • = (2)/(7)

2. In order to solve this question you have to use KCF (Keep, Change, Flip) and for the whole number add a 1 as the denominator.

  • 13 / (-3)/(4)
  • Add the denominator:

  • 13 = (13)/(1)

  • (13)/(1) / (-3)/(4)
  • Apply KCF:

  • (13)/(1) * (-4)/(3)
  • Solve:

  • (13)/(1) * (-4)/(3) = (-52)/(3)

  • = (-52)/(3)

Therefore you're answers are "2/7 and -52/3."

Hope this helps!
