How do you figure out 5.4% of 65

To find a percent of a number, multiply the percent by the number. To change a percent to a decimal, divide the percent by 100, which is the same as moving the decimal point of the percent two places to the left.

5.4% of 65 =

We multiply the percent by the number:

= 5.4% * 65

We change the percent into a decimal:

= 0.054 * 65

Now we do the multiplication.

= 3.51

Answer: 5.4% of 65 is 3.51.

65/x=100/5.4
(65/x)*x=(100/5.4)*x - we multiply both sides of the equation by x
65=18.5185185185*x - we divide both sides of the equation by (18.5185185185) to get x
65/18.5185185185=x
3.51=x
x=3.51
