Fort of Our Lady of the Conception at the Hormuz island was built in 1507 by Afonso de Albuquerque. The fort helped the Portuguese Colonial Empire to monitor the trade and between the Arabian Peninsula and India, as situated in the Persian Gulf. The fort is also known as Portuguese castle served as a warehouse for guns and artilleries( cannons).
