If it costs $13 for admission, then we first subtract $35.50 from 13 which equals

22.5 we then divide the amount of money we have left over which is 22.5 by 1.50 (the amount of money for each ride) which gives us 15.

The greatest number of rides you can go on is 15.

Hello!

If we have a total of 35.50 that we can spend, we can automatically deduct 13 from our total as the admission price is a solid nonchanging amount

This leaves us with 22.50 that we can spend.

The next step, would be to divide 22.50 by 1.50 in order to figure out how many times 1.50 goes into our total.

When divided, we learn that 1.50 goes into 22.50 a total of 15 times.

Please note had the number been 15.3 times or 16.5 times, we would round to the previous whole number. So 15 or 16 as we can't have less than a whole ride.
