The reason why Rome has led to shift its power to be away from the seat of the Catholic church was mainly because of the reason that they lost to the protestants in which made them lost their used to be allies in the England, Denmark and even Sweden.

Answer:

The Catholic Church lost allies such as England, Denmark, and Sweden.

Step-by-step explanation:

With many protestant reformists arising and eventually with the creation of the Church of England (The Anglican Church), the catholic church started losing the monopoly on religion and salvation that it once had, causing it to lose power.
