Hi, here is the solution.

Ratio: The relationship between the two numbers of the same unit is called the ratio.

Example: The number of boys and girls in your class.

Rate: The rate is the ratio of two measurements that have different units.

Example: Miles per hour, working hours (40 hours per week)

Note: Rate is a special ratio.

Example

Sarah covered the distance of 60 miles in 3 hours. What is the rate per hour?

Rate = 60/3 = 20 miles per hour.
