HELP ASAP PLEASE!!!!!

__________ divides one diploid cell and produces two diploid daughter cells.

The answer should be mitosis.

Mitosis is the kind of cell dividision where a parent cell with complete number of chromosomes (which we call them diploid), divides and produce 2 genetically daughter cells, where they have exactly same genetic information as the parent, so they're diploid too.

On the other hand, meiosis, which is wrong for this question, is where a diploid parent cell divides in 2 steps to pruduce 4 daughter cells that only have half of the chromosomes, they're haploid instead.

Therefore, mitosis is your answer.
