0.9% of 1000= 9 1000/x=100/0.9
(1000/x)*x=(100/0.9)*x - we multiply both sides of the equation by x
1000=111.111111111*x - we divide both sides of the equation by (111.111111111) to get x
1000/111.111111111=x
9=x
x=9
