Always line up your decimal point when adding them add like normal and count the number of spaces for you decimal

Example: If 58 out of 100 students in a school are boys, then write a decimal for the part of the school that consists of boys.

Analysis: We can write a fraction and a decimal for the part of the school that consists of boys.

So the fraction would be 58/100 and then we convert it into a decimal which is .58/1.0

This is just basic conversions for decimals by the way.
