Hi WindowTrash14,

if both intergers equal up to a negative number than we know that the answer is going to be negative. So we can eliminate A and C!

-47 + -23 = -24

-47 + -24 = -23

-24 + -23 = -47

Answer:

C -24

-23 + -24 = -47

The smaller number is the -24 because it is a greater negative number.


The answer is d) -24
