So, there is a 3 foot extra area around the 12 by 15 foot pool. That means we add 3 to each side length and find the sum of the side lengths for our perimeter.

The non-slip area would now be 15 by 18 feet(we added 3 to both variables) and so two sides are 15 feet long and the other 2 are 18 feet long

15+15=30

18+18= 36

30+36= 66

We have now found the perimeter of the non-slip area.

Answer: The perimeter of the non-slip area around the pool is 66 feet.
