Let the total number of liters of orange juice and water in the can be x liters. This is 100%.

The can has 1 liter of water and 80% of orange juice. this means that water is 100%-80%=20%.

Now, write

x l - 100%

1 l - 20%,

that is mathematically

(x)/(1)=(100)/(20),\\ \\x=5\ l.

If can contains 5 liters of water-juice solution and water is 1 liter, then juice is 4 liters.

Answer: the can contains 1 liter of water and 4 liters of orange juice, 5 l in total.
